About Me

I am enthusiastic and passionate about the opportunity my work provides to draw upon my life experiences, education and training to help others learn and grow.

My path to becoming a psychologist was indirect. While I have always desired to work with individuals on a deeply personal level, I spent years engaged in other educational and professional pursuits before turning toward my lifelong interest in psychology and beginning doctoral training in Clinical Psychology.

My prior professional and life experiences contribute to the maturity and perspective I bring to my work and that I brought to my training. These prior experiences taught me about different parts of myself and helped me to understand and respect the ways in which life, work and relationships play an important role in each person’s life.
